Today, we combine nearly half a century of experience with modern demands, current products, and innovative solutions.

With dedication, joy, and enthusiasm, we continue to devote ourselves to everything that defines alpine skiing and snowboarding.

This includes selected, high-quality, and current ski models for rental and sale, as well as professional boot fitting for ski boots, precise ski and snowboard service, high-quality skiwear, and of course, much more.

For us, the focus is not simply on the product, but always on the person using it.

We want a ski to not only look good but also to perform exceptionally well. We want a ski boot to not just fit, but to be individually tailored. And we want our customers to leave the shop with the good feeling that they have found the right solution for them.

Because that is exactly what our history has stood for since 1979:

From the very beginning: Service with high standards, ski service by Josef Schößwendter Junior, 1983.

Even in the early years, we worked on and serviced skis and snowboards right here in-house using machinery that was high-quality for its time.

However, the right technology for base structure and edge grinding was still in its infancy at that time. Much of it was a matter of experience; some things had to be tried out and developed further.

This is exactly where an important part of our history began.

With great commitment, passion, and numerous series of our own tests, we developed an ever-better understanding over the years of how different materials, grinding techniques, surface roughness, structures, and edge geometries affect a ski’s performance.

From these experiences, a high-quality, precise ski service emerged step by step, which has been continuously developed and improved over the years.

In the process, we have never shied away from thinking outside the box. New techniques, alternative solutions, and innovations were tested, questioned, and—if they proved successful—integrated into our daily work.

Because for us, one thing was and is clear:
Standing still means falling behind.

Since 1979, our house has stood for passion, experience, and quality in all aspects of alpine skiing and snowboarding.

Our story began back in 1978, when our commercial building was constructed by Josef Schößwendter Senior. A year later, in June 1979, the doors opened for the first time.

Even before the takeover on January 1, 1985, by his younger son Josef (Sepp) Schößwendter “Junior,” our business began to change step by step.
The region increasingly developed into a popular winter sports destination.
New lifts, hotels, and the corresponding infrastructure were built—and with them, our resources grew to gradually expand the sports section of the shop.
